If you’re into content writing, here’s our roundup of some of the best AI-powered content generators!
Content writing is one of the most in-demand jobs right now. However, even the best writers can struggle to consistently create high-quality content. But with a little help from artificial intelligence (AI), you can quickly write engaging and informative content. While some tools generate out-of-the-box content, others require a bit of work to meet the desired standards. All things considered, with AI content generation tools, the adage “teamwork makes work dream” rings true. Together, you and the AI can produce great content in no time.
However, it should be noted that not all AI content generation tools are created equal. Some require minimal input, while others require more direction. The key is finding the right tool for you and your team. This article will explore the top five AI content generation tools (based on the author’s use of each) to help you decide.
1. Knight
Rytr, a play on the word “writer”, is an AI content writer and assistant. Its free version offers many tools to help you write quality content. You can select your language, your tone (outspoken, cautious, compelling, inspiring, etc.) and, most importantly, your use case. The platform lets you write various things, be it cover letters, emails, blog summaries, and more. Moreover, it uses your keywords (the ones you want to highlight) and allows you to choose from several variations. There’s also a section to select the level of creativity you need, whether you want the ultimate product to be more factual or fun.
We attempted to create a blog preview, which went pretty well. The platform designed an eye-catching title, developed SEO-optimized keywords and subtitles, and provided us with two versions of the final content. For a free version, it indeed produces worthy materials.
2. Jasper (formerly Jarvis)
Although paid, you can try Jasper.ai free for five days (you’ll still need to enter your card details). In the free trial, Jasper gives you access to 10,000 words to form your opinion on the AI content writing platform. Used by brands like Google, Airbnb, and HubSpot, Jasper is known for producing comprehensive, high-quality content.
Writers can use Jasper.ai to write social media posts, blog posts, website content, product descriptions, and more. The most remarkable element is that he ends your sentences like a quintessential romantic partner. While most platforms generate content from scratch, Jasper works with you, taps into your tone, and creates content on the go.
That said, the platform isn’t the best at writing factually accurate content and doesn’t provide its sources. (Check out our in-depth review of Jasper here.)
3.Copymatic.ai
Writing a blog post with Copymatic.ai is a very fun experience. It guides you through five steps to produce the end result. Initially, the platform asks you what you want to write, be it a caption or a long article. Once you choose a use case, it recommends the platform tools that best help you in your mission.
In our test, we chose the “Blog Post Writer”. You start by typing what you want to write. Then you can either write your own or choose a suggested title, outline, and subtitles. If you want the AI to generate them for you, it will give you five options for the intro and outline. Once you reach the final output stage, it creates paragraphs for each caption in the plan. And just like that, you have a full-fledged article ready to be used as per your requirement.
If you don’t want to write an entire article, you can also use the platform to write specific elements for your blog, such as intro, conclusion or body paragraphs. Plus, everything is SEO verified!
One caveat: with its free trial, you can only claim 1,500 words. Still, its paid version is relatively inexpensive, amounting to around US$25 per year if you choose the pro version. You must contact the company for a custom quote if you have specific content requirements.
4.Copy.ai
Offering a seven-day free trial, Copy.ai is a great AI-powered content writing tool for those who need to produce articles quickly. It provides a range of templates, from Instagram captions to blog posts, making it ideal for journalists and social media managers.
It works in four steps, from entering details related to your article to generating talking points and final content. While it offers quite a few options regarding tone, it lacks overall flair. We chose the “friendly” tone for our article, but the final content was rather formal and serious. It produces informational content first, which can be beneficial if you’re already good at getting the right tone through editing.
5. Hyperwrite
Like Jasper.ai, Hyperwrite’s AI platform lets you type in a few words or phrases and then offers suggestions to continue. The platform understands the tone well and offers unique content. Plus, if you’re running into writer’s block and can’t even come up with a few sentences, tell the AI what you want to write about, and it’ll produce content for you.
In the premium version, worth $19.99 per month, you get unlimited rewrites, “auto-writes” and “typings” (i.e. predictive writing of text). On the other hand, the free version limits you to 100 “typeaheads” per day and 10 rewrites and “autowrites” per month. Plus, with the premium, the platform gives you access to more templates, from academic writing to startup presentations and more. Plus, there’s even an option where Hyperwrite rewrites complex topics using AI to explain them like you’re five years old!
Are AI Content Writers Worth It?
Well, it depends on your purpose for using them. If you only use AI content generators occasionally, paying for them makes no sense. Instead, you can opt for free AI tools or only use the non-premium versions. However, if you are a professional content writer who has to write significant amounts of content every day, you might want to consider using an AI content generator that suits your needs.
Remember that no matter what you want, you cannot rely on AI alone to produce quality content. You’ll need to revise, edit, and check it out, but once you have the basic content in place, it shouldn’t take too long!
